Vermont is considered to be a place that people wish to visit again and again, because of the extraordinary beauty of the landscape, and through its peaks, snow and Green Mountain skiing. Providing with a romantic getaway, Vermont can as well offer an adventurous retreat in the same place at the same time. But taking into consideration all the aspects that draw tourist to Vermont every year, the main attraction is being represented by Green Mountain skiing, as skiing is known to be to Vermont as Chardonnay is to France. Green Mountain skiing basically represents an experience and a mean of living at the same time. Being located around the peaks of the Green Mountains in northeastern United States, Vermont provides with some of the best skiing trails and sites in the country, as it is considered to be the only state in the region of New England without a coastline and having one of the least populated places in the United States.
Another important aspect which has to be taken into consideration is being represented by the fact that it is recognized to retain much of the rustic charms that New England is known and loved for and the people, although rural, are welcoming and friendly. Green Mountain skiing is being best represented by Mt. Mansfield which is considered to be the highest peak in this region, having 4393 ft. This big attraction in Green Mountain skiing offers some of the smoothest and most maneuverable slopes in the country, despite its overwhelming height. Also, there has to be kept in mind that there are as well other peaks that are at a considerable height, such as Killington, Mt. Helen and Camel's Hump, which have become the happy hunting grounds of some of the world's most famous skiing champions.
